gracie's 3 year old pictures

She's officially a big girl now! Gracie had her 3 year old pictures taken at the studio last week and it went great! She went in, listened to the photographer and before I knew it had taken over 86 pictures in 10 mins :) my dream child!

We got to babysit Mr. Brady for the day while his mommy and daddy were at work. Gracie had so much fun calling him her baby and asking to take care of him all by herself. She asked Jake if he would buy her one of these for her birthday.......to that Jake replied NOT NOW! Brady was the perfect little boy. He never cried and is an easy go with the flow kind of kid.

ethan's last day of kindergarten

Could it be that my little man has finished kindergarten already? Kindergarten was filled with many great memories of friends, field trips and lots of learning. When asked what his favorite part of kindergarten was Ethan said "making new friends".

bronchitis has hit

I've made it over 5 years without getting really sick-like have to go to the doctors sick. But last Thursday it hit me like a ton of bricks! I've got bronchitis and strep. Being sick is one thing but being sick while you're home with two kids is a whole nother story. I'm really not sure why I got so sick this time but I'll tell you I have never felt so bad. So today is day 6 and I think I may get out of bed.....but only to move to the computer where I can sit and look at mindless crap on the internet :) not that facebook and blogging is crap or anything :) My goals for today are simple-rest, find something in this house to feed the kids and make a birthday card for my brother-in-law cause we all know I'm not going to go to any stores!

Just 12 short months after my mom's stroke she finished the 1 mile survivor heart & stroke walk. She has made an amazing recovery and continues to surprise us everyday!

ethan's 6 year old pictures

I know I'm a little picture crazy but every year around the kids birthdays I get their pictures taken. Yes, I know I take tons of pictures already but theres just something about the studio pictures I love. I think I'll post some of his old pictures too now that I'm thinking of it :) To make this process more fun we normally take just the birthday kid and we also have lunch, kinda a special afternoon with mom & dad alone. But since Jake is gone I took both kids, after awhile of picture taking the photographer asked Ethan if he wanted to use any props and he said "ummm yes I'd like to use my sister" so Gracie ran up there and they took a few pictures together. This was totally unplanned and of course of all the days I had let Gracie dress herself. Her hair was a mess and you don't want to know what she had on below but the picture is priceless!
