the twins turn 2

Faith and Allie had their second birthday party last weekend. It's hard to believe that the girls are all two now. I'm so glad we got to celebrate with them. As you know toddlers don't pose for pictures very well so the only time I could get them to all sit still was when they were swinging.

my daddy knows how to dress me!

Today Jake got Gracie dressed, as you can see the brown boots with the pink & silver Christmas skirt go nicely together. Let's not forget the white tank top with hot pink bows on top. To tie it all together he added a hot pink pony purse.

mr kitty has a boo-boo

Mr Kitty had to go to the doctors today because of an abscess on his back. They needed to put him under to drain the fluid. He'll have a drain tube in his back for the next 5 days. The kids were very good with him this morning before he left giving him big kisses and Ethan said "it's ok if you cry when they give you a poke, I do." Gracie went with me to pick him up and when they carried him out she ran up to him yelling "my kitty" and hugged the carrier. He has to stay inside for 2 weeks and needs to lay on old towels because of the draining fluid. He was a little tired and cranky and just wanted to be left alone. However this did not stop Gracie from trying to play with him, giving him her blanket and taking pictures of him. I'm not sure what will be harder keeping the cat inside for 2 weeks or showing Jake the bill. This may just be the last time we are able to get one of his boo-boos fixed. An outside cat that likes to fight raccoons = lots of vet bills. Maybe we need to re-think his lifestyle :)

Ethan's tree house-part 5

The paint is on the tree house! From the start Ethan said he wanted an army tree house and that's just what Jake gave him. Jake painted it green and then let Ethan use spray paint to make the "army" pattern. Of course when Ethan was done Jake had to touch it up a little :)

"why don't they just a get a job?"

My in-laws bar was robbed earlier today at gun point. No one at the bar was hurt. The story was all over the news so we needed to try and explain to Ethan what happened. He said "Why did they rob Grandpa's money? If I was there I would just say no you can't have my Grandma's money you should get a job." Jake and I were laughing and said yes they should get a job. Ethan added "My Grandma has things to buy you know they should really give her back her money." When we saw on the news tonight that the suspects were shot by the police Ethan called out from down the hall "Well if you're going to steal then you gonna get shot"

play kitchen daddy

Gracie and Daddy played kitchen today. She called him into her saying "oh daddy......pay.......chit-chen........pay daddy pay" I think it's very cute and I know she will love these memories later.
